Harrison D Stevens
Harrison D Stevens is a first-time author writing his first novel, Jake Stargazer and the Cosmic Curse. He grew up in Wakefield a small city in Yorkshire, in the North of England.
Harrison grew up on 80s and 90s movies, particularly those made by Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas. As he got older, stories became more important than action, and films by Ridley Scott, James Cameron, and Martin Scorsese became firm favourites.
There was a brief desire to move into filmmaking for five seconds until the major shortage of Hollywood Studios in Yorkshire crushed that dream for good. Instead of going to film school, Harrison indulged his other major interest, and completed a History degree.
During these years, Harrison’s first love of books started. Books became movies that Harrison could cast and set in his imagination. Reading a book offered the same escapism and expansive imagination that movies could.
Real life happened, and after a succession of jobs, hobbies, and various interests, the love of stories never died. After putting it off for years, Harrison was reminded that life was too short and decided to write his first book.
Jake Stargazer and the Cosmic Curse is the story of a young boy who goes on an adventure across the Galaxy, not too dissimilar to how Harrison felt when watching Star Wars for the first time.

When he’s not writing, Harrison is usually out with his very handsome Labrador, Steve, or bothering George R R Martin to finish Winds of Winter.
